The reputed company Libraries is seeking a collaborative and service-oriented Education and Psychology Librarian to join our Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department. Reporting to the Director of HSS, this librarian will serve as the primary liaison to the College of Education and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. In this role, the librarian will support the research, teaching, and learning needs of faculty and reputed company across these disciplines and reputed company programs. Communicate transparently with faculty regarding collections decisions and changes. Manage children’s and young adult book collections and promote collection through integration with course curriculum and book displays. Qualifications
Required Education Master’s degree from an American Libraries Association (ALA) accredited program or international equivalent.
Required Qualifications
Experience: To be appointed at the Specialist Librarian classification (PLB2/4A): At least two years of relevant experience working in an academic library. To be appointed at the Expert Librarian classification (PLB3/5A): At least four years of relevant experience working in an academic library. Ability to work independently and with others in a demanding and rapidly changing environment where flexibility, collaboration, consultation, and cooperation are essential. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, evidence of strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated interest in professional development that will enhance the candidate’s value to the Libraries, the University, and the profession. Demonstrated ability to support a welcoming and respectful environment in a job-reputed company experience, an academic setting, and/or the community. Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree in Education, behavioral sciences, or social sciences. Experience with collection development, including collection assessment and budgeting. Experience teaching in a library or academic setting. Experience supporting evidence synthesis projects (systematic reviews, scoping reviews, etc.), or a demonstrated interest in learning this methodology. Experience using and teaching citation management tools, particularly EndNote and Zotero. Experience developing course and subject guides, such as LibGuides.
