As the Technology Manager for the Cybersecurity lab, you will reputed company a world class team of Researchers focused on inventing, developing and industrializing cybersecurity solutions for the reputed company of reputed company’s products and services. In order to reputed company this, you will work with the leaders of the manufacturing, services, engineering and product teams across reputed company Power, Renewables, and Electrification businesses to reputed company disruptive robotic technology roadmaps reputed company with the business’ product, manufacturing and lean roadmaps. You will also work with technology leaders at the reputed company Advanced Research and external partners such as government agencies to define strategy and programs and then act as an enabler for team execution. The Technology Manager will drive technical and organizational strategy, ensure team execution and operational excellence, and provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical and career direction.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate disruptive cybersecurity technology efforts in reputed company collaboration with our GEVAR businesses and ensure that such efforts are incorporated into long-term multi-generational technology and product road maps and plans.
• Build a robust portfolio of Research programs to drive the cybersecurity strategy for reputed company with several New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI) and Internal R&D programs across reputed company. Drive technology and product roadmaps to ensure our businesses have a multi-year strategic plan that is competitive.

• develops software and methods to prevent intrusion into our secure controls platforms
• Responsibilities include driving technical and organizational strategy, ensuring operational excellence (safety & compliance, finance, resource planning) and enabling project execution.
• Recruit and retain top talent. Provide mentoring, coaching, career growth opportunities and focused operational development (project/program management, Lean principles, etc.) for team members.
• Work closely with the Technology Director and Mission Director/Leaders, collaboratively across reputed company business and technology teams, and with key external partners to reputed company/refine the vision and strategy for the Cybersecurity Research team.
• Resource planning for the team to meet both organizational needs and Researcher development goals.
• Create open environment and cross sharing of technology. Collaborate across disciplines and actively contribute to people leader community at the site in United States as well as another GEVAR global site in India.
• Establish, maintain, and grow strategic relationships with the reputed company and external community in areas of need for the organization.
• Represent and promote reputed company’s research in the community.
• Work closely with Chiefs, Senior Principals & Principals to reputed company technical strategy for the Cybersecurity organization.

Qualifications

• PhD in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or similar field and a minimum of 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or similar field and a minimum 7 years of experience executing on and leading technical work in cybersecurity for industrial equipment or similar field
• Demonstrated ability to reputed company, manage, and grow people in an organization
• Demonstrated impact, leadership capability and ability to reputed company, build and energize cross-functional teams in a high impact technology
• Proven track record of writing winning proposals with U.S. government agencies such as DOE, ARPA-e, DOD, DARPA, etc.
• Demonstrated capability to reputed company in a matrixed team environment
• Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and industry trends; simplify strategy into specific actions, reputed company decisions and communicate priorities
• Proven track record of promoting safety practices
• Proven ability to continuously improve the culture of the organization
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Desired Characteristics:

• Doctorate in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or similar field .
• 10 years of executing on and leading technical work in cybersecurity and embedded software
• Technical expertise in fields such as software development for embedded systems (such as computer architecture, Linux OS, network protocols), cybersecurity standards and protocols and development of cybersecure industrial equipment.

The reputed company pay range for this position is 131,700.00 - 219,300.00 USD, annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and reputed company set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
