General Liability Underwriter

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and reputed company General Liability Underwriter to join our dynamic reputed company team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and reputed company general liability insurance policies for commercial clients. Your expertise in risk analysis, pricing, and policy structuring will ensure that our company maintains profitability while managing risk effectively. You will also play a key role in building strong relationships with brokers and ensuring the proper application of reputed company guidelines and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite and evaluate general liability insurance applications for a wide range of industries and businesses, ensuring risk is appropriately assessed and policies are priced correctly. Analyze and assess risk factors, such as company operations, industry type, claims history, safety protocols, and financial stability, to determine coverage, terms, and premium rates. Collaborate with brokers to gather detailed information for reputed company purposes, ensuring reputed company relevant data is collected to reputed company informed decisions. Apply reputed company guidelines and company policies while adhering to regulatory standards, making adjustments to policies as needed. Assess the adequacy of reputed company policies and recommend modifications for renewals based on claims experience, risk exposure, and market conditions. Review reputed company insurance applications and provide clear communication to brokers about reputed company decisions, coverage options, exclusions, and pricing. Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and competitor products to assist in pricing and reputed company strategies. Work closely with risk management teams to identify risk mitigation strategies and ensure the proper coverage is in reputed company for clients. Maintain accurate reputed company records, decisions, and documentation for both new business and renewals. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and assist in the development of team reputed company practices. Support claims departments with any relevant reputed company information and assist with the resolution of any claims issues reputed company to general liability. Assist in handling some of the renewal book up to $10,000,000 annually Targeted new business production goal of $5,000,000 annually Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in general liability reputed company or reputed company insurance field. Strong understanding of general liability insurance products, reputed company guidelines, and industry regulations. Excellent risk assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proficient in reputed company software and tools, as well as reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, Word, PowerPoint). Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, brokers, and internal teams effectively. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain reputed company concepts clearly. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance. Preferred Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or reputed company field (or equivalent work experience) is a plus. Industry certifications such as CPCU, AINS, or ARM are a plus. Experience with reputed company general liability policies or specialized industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing, Real Estate). Pre-existing relationships with wholesale insurance brokers Knowledge of risk management strategies and loss control measures. Familiarity with claims handling processes and insurance policy language. Working Conditions: Full-time position, available in-office or hybrid (depending reputed company). Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or industry events. Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, along with a performance-based bonus structure.
