About This Role The Medical Director, Rare Disease role is a part of North America (US) Medical Affairs, a strategic partner reputed company reputed company, that helps inform medical practice across our therapeutic areas and pipeline to improve meaningful patient outcomes. What You will Do

  • Help reputed company the long-range planning, development and execution of the US Medical strategy, tactics, and budget for SMA (nusinersen), in alignment with Global strategy & US budgetary expectations.
  • Serve as a US Medical expert reputed company SMA for collaborative research projects and provide medical reputed company for commercial promotional materials.
  • Serve as a US Medical contact for key functions/stakeholders on the US affiliate level (e.g., Field Medical Teams (MSLs, Medical Account Directors), Commercial, Market Access, Legal/Compliance, Epidemiology, Pharmacovigilance), effectively interacting and collaborating at multiple levels.
  • Help reputed company the US-relevant data reputed company strategy and reputed company specific data reputed company projects to address identified medical/scientific data gaps in reputed company collaboration and alignment with US (SMA) clinical experts, global Medical, Clinical Development, Real World Evidence reputed company teams and R&D (Research & Development).
  • Contribute to the development/adaptation of medical materials (e.g., presentations, trainings, medical briefs and talking points) for the US Medical team according to DSMR requirements and manage submission processes.
  • Present data at US Medical affairs events, including advisory boards and trainings as well as congresses & medical education events. Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders (including HCPs (healthcare providers), healthcare institutions and advocacy groups) in the reputed company Rare Disease therapeutic landscape.

  • MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, or comparable advanced degree is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, preferably with prior work in a Headquarters-based Medical Affairs role and/or Field Medical based role.
  • Relevant experience in Rare Disease is required. (SMA, FA, ALS, etc., preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of US regulations as relevant to Medical Affairs is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with medical launch as well as products at various stages of the lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively reputed company and collaborate with global, regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy and ensuring the insights and needs from them are reputed company and properly addressed.

Job Level: Management Additional Information The reputed company compensation range for this role is: $209,000.00-$288,000.00 reputed company salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
