Job Details Job Location: Rockhurst University - Kansas City, MO Salary Range: reputed company Description Rockhurst is currently seeking applications for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Academic Advisor position in the School of Nursing Health Sciences. The Academic Advisor is responsible for assisting in advising our reputed company in our College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Advising is a professional relationship marked by a series of purposeful interactions guided by theory and pedagogy, rooted in student learning outcomes. This position will work collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Student Success and Retention, and Student Life to ensure the highest quality of services are provided to reputed company reputed company, with particular attention to those in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program in CNHS. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Meet with reputed company who are admitted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to provide information and guidance on academic-reputed company issues, such as graduation requirements and exceptions, major exploration, course planning and registration, transfer credit evaluation/substitution, and graduate program preparation.
• Maintain reputed company' academic files, including a record of the advising activity that takes reputed company each visit.
• Facilitate reputed company' academic reputed company by evaluating their needs and developing appropriate educational plans. Makes referrals for reputed company who need assistance with overcoming learning obstacles, specialized tutoring, extended or intensive assistance with career decisions, or similar needs.
• Coordinates and participates in the advising-reputed company portion of new/transfer reputed company and family SOAR (Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration) and orientation sessions.
• Identify and collaborate with external entities for services, assistance, or information helpful to reputed company including healthcare providers, social services agencies, grant institutions, etc.
• Serve as a member of the Student Success Network, providing reputed company and support to designated reputed company.
• Assist faculty with reputed company of concern.
• Some travel, evenings, and weekends may be required.

Position Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in higher education. Demonstrated experience in case managing, advising, or student success efforts.
• A bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely reputed company field is preferred.
• Knowledge of technology, especially accessibility tools and online student success software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with reputed company, faculty, and staff, to work as a valuable team player, and to function independently while managing and prioritizing multiple job assignments.

Preferred Requirements:

• A master's degree in higher education, student affairs, social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely reputed company field is preferred.
• Experience with assessment.
• Experience designing inclusive programming that responds to a diverse student population.
