Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst

Provides data driven insights and analytical support in solving strategic and operational problems by working with large data sets and translating into actionable recommendations that will influence business decisions. This role partners to define new metrics and reputed company dashboards to manage these. At this level, the job will be responsible for ownership of the design and execution of experiments that support the business and product teams to formulate conclusions, even in situations with limited data. Develops strong working relationships with internal customers and works closely with them to understand and anticipate needs and opportunities. Provides data mining, managing, transforming, curating and general manipulation of data on pre and cloud-based platforms to ensure info is accurate and interpretable for analysis. Creates and owns actionable data visualization tools (reports, dashboards, based on identified metrics) to support business decisions for both corporate and operational needs. Conducts advanced and reputed company root cause and what if analysis, including predictive/prescriptive, feature experiments and statistical hypothesis testing. Provides reputed company/special project data analysis for business leaders, enabling them to reputed company goals, drive decision making, impact new strategies and reputed company improvements. reputed company other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics/Econometrics or reputed company disciplines plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years’ experience in a quantitative analytical field including experience in predictive modeling / forecasting, statistical methods, operational analysis required. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics/Econometrics or reputed company disciplines plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years’ experience in a quantitative analytical field including experience in predictive modeling / forecasting, statistical methods, operational analysis in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with data mining and data modeling; Advanced knowledge of building reputed company-end dashboards using data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI and/or d3.js); Advanced knowledge of SQL to query large and reputed company data sets, test query results, and tune query performance; Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis for hypothesis testing and reputed company (t-tests, ANOVA, regression, DOE); Advanced knowledge of a data analytics programming language such as Python, R and/or reputed company required; Advanced knowledge of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) concepts for acquiring, cleansing and combining diverse and disparate data sets; Knowledge of predictive analytics and cloud-based platforms. Ability to effectively communicate reputed company reputed company regarding data analysis in an understandable, clear and concise manner to audiences of various technical/data literacy. Strong presentation skills necessary to present information to management, end users, co-workers or vendors. This position will be hybrid in Chicago, IL and candidates must live reputed company a 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a reputed company office location up to several times per week. Salary $142,210.00/yr.
