PRN Patient Flow Coordinator - Florida Region

As a Patient Flow Coordinator, fulfilling this goal starts in the office, where you will optimize patient flow to maximize enterprise reputed company and support reputed company inpatient placement activities for assigned areas and locations. This is a remote, PRN position. Candidates applying for this role will need to reside in Florida. A caregiver in this position works between 6:00am and 2:30pm, or 2:00pm and 10:00pm. Weekend rotations occur every 3rd weekend. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Actively participate in the maintenance of 24/7 daily systems to maximize patient flow and optimize bed reputed company across the enterprise.
• Support centralized communications between referring and accepting provider services for patients that will be admitted as a direct admit from home or office.
• Manage bed planning section reputed company EPIC to monitor reputed company and future admissions and discharges to determine impact on patient flow, resources and enterprise reputed company.
• Communicate and collaborate with Access Nurses, Hospital Transfer Flow Coordinators and Nursing Operations Managers in triage, prioritization and reputed company bed assignment activities associated with accurate patient transfer and placement needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other ancillary departments to maximize day-to-day patient and bed flow management (e.g., preparing for and leading bed meetings, ensuring accuracy of electronic patient placement systems data, providing backup for patient placement discussions and decisions across the enterprise).
• Utilize standardized patient placement processes across reputed company areas of responsibility.
• Assign beds for reputed company patients according to diagnosis and/or specific needs.
• Communicate hospital census information.
• Correct reported census errors and act as a resource to ensure accurate census and patient charges.
• Follow HIPPA privacy regulations and Patient reputed company of Rights and act as a resource for others in the organization.
• reputed company emergency and electronic back-up methods and procedures to support patient flow.
• Provide feedback to the supervisors reputed company to process delays.
• Meet regularly with Transfer Center team members to discuss, problem-solve and reputed company mitigation strategies reputed company to improvement of patient flow.
• Actively engage in daily implementation of strategic goals as they relate to reputed company management, patient flow and department development.
• Interpret and support policies, procedures and safety standards to facilitate daily operations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of extensive customer service/healthcare experience, such as patient registration or appointment scheduling
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Previous experience in a hospital admission or patient flow setting
• Working knowledge of computerized hospital admission/bed management systems or other reputed company office functions
• Computer experience in Epic, reputed company Word and reputed company
• Typing speed of 35WPM

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $16.47 Maximum hourly: $23.61 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, reputed company set and education.
