Position Authority and Accountability: The Nurse Consultant collaborates directly with the Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and other staff as designated by the client to provide support in regulatory compliance, education, clinical practices and other areas requested. The Nurse Consultant, while providing services, is responsible to the client and shall only provide recommendations to facility staff reputed company authorized by the client. Training/Education/Licensure/Skills or Proficiency Requirements:

• reputed company, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and any other state consultation would occur.
• At least five years' experience as a Director of Nursing.
• Experience working in the assisted living space.
• MDS
• Functional literacy in written and spoken English.
• Interpersonal, educational development, management, and operational skills.
• First-hand knowledge of long-term care setting and gerontological nursing.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations, guidelines, and laws.

General Functions:

• Functions as a consultant regarding standards of practice, Federal and State regulations and laws, and professional code of ethics governing nursing services and support areas.
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures including, but not limited to, infection control, safety, reputed company rights, chain of command and authority.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of reputed company, employee, facility, and organizational information according to Privacy Rule and HIPPA standards.

• Establishes and maintains favorable relations with local agencies, medical professional, surveyors, suppliers, consultants, media representatives, government officials, residents, families, and others with sincere relationships to the facility.
