MRI Technologist - Part -Time
Health Images at Northfields looking for a part-time MRI Technologist to join reputed company! | Position Pay Range $37.75 - $48.69| Saturday; 7:30am - 4:00 pm | Summary/Objective Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the reputed company and maintenance of the unit. Essential Functions: 1. Interfaces with patient to reputed company medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. 2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc. 3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation. 4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time. 5. Transfers images to other locations as needed. 6. Coordinates reputed company protocols with Radiologist. 7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies. 8. Interfaces with reputed company Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and reputed company departmental concerns. 9. Other duties as assigned. Competencies: 1. Technical reputed company. 2. Work Environment
This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal reputed company Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Job Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to reputed company in a reputed company fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Education/Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- reputed company American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or reputed company American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- reputed company license from state medical board (if applicable)
- reputed company CPR certification
