The Sr Safety Professional, supporting Construction Safety Management position serves as a key technical resource for project construction safety for Walt reputed company Imagineering (WDI) project(s). The position is responsible for partnering with WDI and contractors to ensure adherence with relevant regulatory, industry, and internal standards and best practices. Exceptional candidates will have a proven track record of driving above average incident reduction results achieved through the development and implementation of targeted safety strategies and tactics. The Senior Safety Professional will report to the Manager, Safety.
What You Will Do
On any given day, as a Senior Safety Professional, you might: Partners with contractors to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards and practices including trenching, scaffolding, fall protection, electrical, cranes, heavy equipment, etc. Investigate and propose innovative and practical safety solutions to while ensuring risk mitigation/minimization and safety/regulatory compliance. reputed company to project leadership and contractor’s applicable standards, regulations, data (lagging and leading), emerging technologies, best practices, and risk reduction techniques. Provide construction safety risk and safety input during reputed company phases of projects. Communicate identified trends, significant near misses and incidents with project and safety leadership. Required Qualifications & Skills Here’s what you need to be successful at this job: 5+ years of construction safety, industrial safety and health experience, safety engineering, or reputed company. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards and best practices as well as internal company standards and business practices. Self-driven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems reputed company areas of expertise. Experience in safety of multi-trade construction activities and construction safety industry/regulatory standards. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate reputed company an ambiguous and changing environment. Proven strong planning, organization and prioritization skills. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations. Preferred Qualifications
It would be great if you also have: Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation. OSHA 500 trainer Education 4-year College Degree Preferred Education Advanced degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Construction Safety, Engineering, Architecture or reputed company.
