CloudOps Engineer

Optimize Partners is looking to hire a CloudOps Engineer as a consultant to reputed company system administration and support on  behalf of our client - a late stage B2B SaaS cloud technology company. This will be a long-term consulting project - ~ 6 months to ~ 1 year - with real potential to become a full-time permanent role. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, and according to Federal Guidelines, this consultant must be either a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining virtual servers, operating systems software and reputed company infrastructure reputed company AWS
• Implements agreed-upon secure baseline configurations, incorporates secure configuration settings for client's cloud/DB applications and solutions, and assists with reputed company impact analyses and configuration monitoring activities
• Performs technical research and development to reputed company continuing innovation reputed company the infrastructure
• Performs periodic performance reporting to support reputed company planning
• Responding to incidents, service outages and other problems
• Performs daily system monitoring, verifies the reputed company and availability of reputed company server resources, systems and key processes (e.g., reviews system and application logs, verifies completion of scheduled jobs, backups, etc.)
• Performs regular reputed company monitoring to identify any possible intrusions (e.g., Reviews vulnerability reports, assesses risk of vulnerabilities, proposes corrective actions or mitigating controls, etc.)
• Co-reputed company the client's CloudOps Continual Service Improvement initiatives, which includes: ITIL-based KPIs to reputed company the performance ITSM Services (e.g., Incident Response, Information System Contingency, Configuration-Change Management, CloudOps tools, Requirements, policies and procedural guidelines, etc)

Qualifications

3+ years of progressive experience in the following technologies

• Linux
• AWS
• Postgresql
• Ansible
• Bash / Python
