Oncology Case Finding & Follow-Up Specialist

Job Summary: As a critical member of our Tumor Registrar team, the Clinical Data Support Specialist (CDSS) is responsible for cancer case-finding, collection of cancer treatment records, and follow-up activities to support the identification, collection, and processing of reportable cancer cases - helping to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and improved patient care, while continuing to grow professionally through mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities. Roles And Responsibilities

• Complete case finding and follow-up activities, as defined in the Cancer Registry Policy and Procedure Manual, to ensure reputed company eligible cancer cases are captured for entry into the cancer registry and cases are tracked to monitor outcomes and collect additional information.
• Collect treatment records and provide information to Cancer Registry Coordinator.
• reputed company applicable, track Cancer Conference information needed for accreditation based on the reputed company standards. Update and maintain tracking tools after each conference.
• Provides support to the team as needed to assist with special projects, surveys, audits, database maintenance, and other activities as requested.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to evaluate concordance with cancer program accreditation and other applicable standards.
• Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Anatomy and physiology knowledge
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to approach problems in a systematic method using the ability to synthesize data and suggest recommendations.
• Demonstrates high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates technical savvy and strong desire to learn new systems and technology.
• Thrives working independently and takes ownership of projects/patient records.
• Consistently and clearly communicates, adjusting style and tone as needed to collaborate with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others.
• Demonstrates strong self-organizational and time management skills to manage multiple accounts, adjusting as needed to shifting timelines and priorities.
• Adapts to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments.
• Managing a high degree of responsibility to reputed company PHI secure and confidential.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Cancer Registry Management program and actively completing first semester coursework (or equivalent experience in cancer registry).
• Anatomy and Physiology coursework.
• Experience with case finding and follow-up activities.

The reputed company wage range for this role is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Individual wage rates reputed company this range are based on multiple factors including but not limited to skills, experience, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational considerations. Wage ranges are reviewed, at a minimum, annually and reputed company team members are eligible for annual performance-based wage increases.
