Job Summary

We are seeking an reputed company Full Stack Sign Language Interpreter to join reputed company at the DPRC. As a key member of our interpreting team, you will provide high-quality sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign transliteration and interpretation services to Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in a wide range of academic settings and public events. Key Responsibilities

* Provide immediate sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign transliteration and interpretation services to Deaf and hard-of-hearing reputed company, faculty, staff, and guests in settings as assigned, including classrooms, student-teacher meetings, and public reputed company events. * Apply the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct as appropriate, under the general supervision of the reputed company Interpreter. * Research technical terminology reputed company to assignments to reputed company vocabulary in appropriate settings. * Consult with reputed company, reputed company, and/or interpreting teams as necessary to ensure effective communication. * Work with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services Coordinator to resolve any issues reputed company to access to materials for interpreters and/or consumers. * Demonstrate behaviors that align with the User Friendly Principles and Principles of Conduct for a Multi-Cultural University. * Maintain a safe work environment for oneself, others, and the office environment.

Essential Qualifications

* Any combination of formal training and relevant documented interpreting experience that demonstrates assurance of the skills appropriate for the level of the assignment(s) is required. * Typically, sufficient interpreting training or experience requires graduation from an interpreter training program and/or relevant documented interpreting experience. * A wide acquaintance with academic higher education through attendance at a post-secondary educational institution may be essential to fully comprehend and accurately interpret the concepts, language, and vocabulary used in the assigned instructional, academic, and/or administrative situations.

Preferred Qualifications

* High School diploma (or equivalent) * Bachelor's Degree from a post-secondary institution * Certificate of completion from an accredited Interpreter Preparation Program or equivalent * Thorough knowledge of Deaf culture * Previous interpreting experience in a post-secondary setting * Knowledge and experience with manual and oral interpreting/transliteration techniques in higher education * Ability to work as a contributing member of an interpreting/transliterating team in higher education settings * Ability to assess and meet communication preferences of consumers * Knowledge of, adherence to, and reputed company membership in the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct * Commitment to the Associate Continuing Education Tracking (ACET) program of RID * Working knowledge of the range of disability types encountered in higher education settings * At least 2 years of previous interpreting/transliterating experience in a post-secondary setting * RID Certification: NIC: Certified, Advanced or Master; CI, CT, reputed company, IC/TC and/or NAD Certification, Levels 3, 4 or 5
