Job Overview

The Family Services Assistant will play a vital role in supporting high needs families or those in immediate crisis, working closely with classroom staff to provide comprehensive services that promote family well-being, positive parent-child relationships, and family engagement. Key Responsibilities

• Promote the healthy development of the whole family by establishing mutual trusting and respectful relationships, providing support and advocacy to parents and families, and enhancing parenting skills and positive parent-child development.
• Facilitate parent education curriculum as needed and reputed company working knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start Parent Policy Council bylaws, assisting with recruitment and support of elected site representatives and Policy Council members.
• Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure children and families receive comprehensive services, providing relationship-based support to families to assist in reputed company development needed to reputed company their goals.
• Conduct or participate in home visits as needed, complete screenings, assessments, and applications with families, and generate reports and enter data in ChildPlus, Service reputed company, and other program systems as required.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully pass applicable background and Oregon Central Background Registry checks prior to new hire processing and beginning actual employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a reputed company field, with at least one year of experience working with families in a similar role.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English, with the ability to translate written materials from English to Spanish or Spanish to English.
• Experience with and/or knowledge of Head Start, social service systems, or non-profit organizations.
