About the Role

As a Patient Concierge Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences through our virtual phone system. You will make outbound courtesy calls to assist patients with their medical bills, providing personalized support and guidance while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and respect for patients' personal health and financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle High-Volume Inbound Calls: Manage a high volume of inbound calls (approximately 80-100 calls per day) through our virtual phone system, ensuring that each patient receives the support they need.
  • Follow Scripted Verbiage: Utilize scripted verbiage to effectively communicate with patients about their medical bills, ensuring clarity and consistency in all interactions.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep comprehensive records of all conversations in our database, ensuring that patient information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Multitask with Ease: Manage dual monitors, a virtual phone system, and multiple software applications with ease, demonstrating exceptional technical skills.
  • Deliver Exceptional Patient Experiences: Identify patient needs, clarify information, provide solutions, and handle each call in a positive, considerate, and respectful manner, all while protecting patients' privacy rights and personal health and financial information confidentiality.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer and/or patient support role, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong phone and verbal communication skills, as well as active listening skills.
  • Typing Speed: A minimum of 35 words per minute typing speed.
  • Medical Terminology: Understanding and ability to pronounce basic medical terms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call Center Experience: Experience working in a call center environment, handling high-volume inbound calls.
  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or related field.

Remote Work Requirements

To ensure success in this remote role, you will need:

  • Quiet Workspace: A quiet workspace free from distractions, preferably a room with a door that can be closed.
  • High-Speed Internet: High-speed internet with a minimum required download speed of 40 Mbps and a minimum required upload speed of 8 Mbps.
  • Equipment: Ability to plug work equipment directly into your internet router using a provided ethernet cord.
  • Internet Connection: DSL, Cable, or Fiber internet connection (Dial-up, satellite, Wi-Fi, and Cellular/Hot Spot connections are not acceptable).

As a Remote Call Center Patient Concierge Specialist, you will work:
