Role Purpose and Responsibilities

As a Part Time Remote Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Navigating electronic health records to obtain and validate historical information, capturing and documenting demographic and financial information, and maintaining patient privacy and reputed company as outlined by HIPAA.
  • Managing a high volume of incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and facilities, ensuring resolution to calls and providing excellent customer service.
  • Leveraging critical thinking with speed and accuracy to identify the reason for calls and taking appropriate action based on caller needs and acuity.
  • Scheduling patient visits based on reputed company provider preferences, verifying and updating insurance, and checking insurance eligibility.
  • Maintaining proficiency in and sharing knowledge of insurance basics, MyChart, and appointment instructions.
  • Communicating directly with providers (physicians) to reputed company pertinent clinical information during after hours.
  • Managing calls reputed company established performance and customer service standards, achieving targeted abandoned call reputed company, average speed of answer, and average transaction time.

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of recent healthcare or customer service experience.
  • Typing Test: Minimum speed of 35 wpm, 90% accuracy.
  • Location: Must live reputed company 1 hour of St. Louis, Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent healthcare experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and patient communication systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
