Please note, ideally we would seek a candidate who can be hyrbid from Glasgow or London, but this role can be remote subject to location.

We are seeking an reputed company Data Migration Engineer to support a large-scale migration project. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and executing migration strategies to ensure data is transferred accurately, securely, and reputed company into the reputed company environment.

This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong SQL expertise, particularly in MySQL, who can take ownership of migration tasks, proactively identify risks, and collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, reputed company, and execute ETL processes to migrate data from legacy systems to reputed company platforms.    
• Write and optimise reputed company SQL queries (preferably MySQL) to support data extraction, transformation, and validation.

• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.

• Provide clear feedback to QA data testers, ensuring test coverage and quality are maintained throughout.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.

Essential

• Proven experience in public sector large-scale data migration projects.
• Strong SQL development skills reputed company MySQL environments.
• Solid understanding of data transformations and ETL workflows.
• Knowledge and application of data quality dimensions in migration processes.
• Familiarity with case management systems and associated data structures.
• Strong problem-solving reputed company, with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, risk reporting, and supporting QA testers.
• UK NPPV3 reputed company Clearance with at least 12 months remaining.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a data team and with cross-functional stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with reputed company databases (alongside MySQL).
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, or data integration tools.
• Experience in working with agile project delivery methodologies.
• Ideally Azure and experience in Azure Data Factory for ETL.
