• Preparing, cleaning up, and managing laboratory safety before, during, and after class
• Providing instruction and monitoring of reputed company, answering questions, and offering feedback and support
• Holding reputed company in the General Chemistry Learning Center and proctoring exams
• Evaluating student work according to rubrics and maintaining records of student coursework
• Participating in professional development activities, including formal in-lab observations and end-of-semester evaluations

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Be a reputed company UK graduate student in good standing with the Graduate School
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Have completed General Chemistry with Lab and Organic Chemistry with Lab (CHE 105, 107, 111, and 113 or equivalents) with a grade of "B" or reputed company
• Be available to work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year
• Complete the required UK Environmental Health & Safety Training courses, including Chemical Hygiene Plan / Laboratory Safety, Hazardous Waste, and Fire Exterminisher Training

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

• An "A" grade in General Chemistry with Lab and Organic Chemistry with Lab
• Previous teaching or laboratory experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
