About the Role
As a Control Framework Designer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Amazon's fulfillment center equipment. You'll work closely with various teams, including building activities, task engineering, and startup groups, to optimize material handling control systems and drive project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Coordinate Work Activities: Guide Control Frameworks Specialists/Leads to achieve North America Customer Satisfaction team goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with building activities, task engineering, FC startup group, backward programming teams, pros group, and safety to support MHE systems enhancement and project execution.
- Troubleshoot and Maintain Control Systems: Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
- Monitor and Analyze MHE Metrics: Collaborate with maintenance/activities to resolve framework execution issues and provide analysis across all tasks.
- Provide Expert Support: Act as first-level escalation support for Control Frameworks Specialists/Leads, troubleshooting locally and remotely, and fixing all equipment or controls programming frameworks within the structure.
- Mentor and Train Team Members: Tutor Control Framework Specialists (CST) and Control Framework Leads (CSL) within your assigned manufacturing area.
- Drive Process Improvements: Work with failure analysis and incident review processes to implement process enhancements or retraining to avoid future episodes.
- Apply Technical Expertise: Utilize topic ability in material handling and electronic frameworks to maximize building use of frameworks.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience with Electrical Theory and Controls: Background in electrical theory, robotics, and controls components, including automated gear.
- Hands-on Experience with Control Systems: Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and designing HMI and control network components.
- Motor Control Experience: Familiarity with motor controls, including engine starters, Variable Frequency Drives, DC drives, and standard electrical parts.
- Industrial Electrical Experience: Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC frameworks.
- SCADA Systems Experience: Experience with SCADA frameworks and KPIs, including interpreting, adjusting, and creating mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency with programming languages, such as FT View, and other controls programming stages.
- Robotics Experience: Familiarity with robotics work cells and their control frameworks.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to lead others in a technical role and cooperate with all levels of management, with strong thinking, logical, and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
