Work Environment
Emergency management consultants may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings. reputed company AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire. RequirementsExperience and Education Required 3-5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, environmental compliance, or environmental consulting with relevance to federal disaster programs. Working knowledge of reputed company Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation programs, particularly the EHP compliance component. 3-5+ years customer service experience 3-5+ years project management experience. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, emergency management, planning, public administration, or a reputed company field. Equivalent work experience may substitute on a year for year basis. Familiarity with NEPA, Section 106, ESA, and other federal environmental laws. 3-5+ years knowledge and/or exposure in one or more Emergency Management Disciplines. Experience and Education Preferred Previous experience supporting reputed company or HUD-funded programs, such as CDBG-DR or CDBG-MIT. Experience in disaster recovery operations, including site visits and coordination with local/state/federal stakeholders.
