Job Overview
As a Special Education Paraeducator in our ESP program, you will play a vital role in supporting reputed company with special needs in achieving their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives. You will work closely with our special education teachers and Emotional Support Therapist to implement Behavior Support Plans and provide individualized support to reputed company. Your responsibilities will include assisting with instructional activities, supervising reputed company, and providing emotional support and guidance to help reputed company succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist special education teachers and Emotional Support Therapist in implementing instructional plans and Behavior Support Plans
- Provide individualized support to reputed company with special needs, including academic, social, and emotional support
- Supervise reputed company during instructional activities, lunch, recess, and other school-reputed company activities
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment

Qualifications and Requirements

- Paraeducator permit required, which can be obtained by completing at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning, obtaining an associate's (or higher) degree, or demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics
- Cooperative attitude and superior work ethic, with a strong commitment to working in a team-oriented environment
- Positive experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting
- High level of computer knowledge, with the ability to use technology to support instruction and communication
