Job Summary
As a Remote Inpatient reputed company III, you will be responsible for utilizing electronic medical records and computerized encoders to assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient encounters. Your expertise will ensure compliance with Official Coding Guidelines, CMS regulations, and Health Information Management (HIM) policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Review inpatient medical records to assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes using encoder software and following official coding guidelines.
- Validate the accuracy of Admission-Discharge-Transfer (reputed company) data fields, abstracting discharge disposition, physicians, procedure dates, and present on admission (POA) indicators.
- Address coding edits and needed corrections daily, reviewing accounts and performing corrections for internal audits and external denials.
