Job Summary

The Pet Store Sales Associate (Stocking) is a part-time, hybrid role that combines remote work with in-store responsibilities. As a Sales Associate, you'll work closely with our merchandising, planning, and logistics teams to ensure that our stores are adequately stocked with the right products and quantities. You'll also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting our visual merchandising efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with merchandising, planning, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely stocking of merchandise
• Receive and deliver products, validate product placement and pricing, and ensure compliance with company standards
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including daily housekeeping duties and quarterly inventory counts
• Support visual merchandising efforts, including setting up displays and ensuring compliance with company visual merchandising standards
• Participate in special projects, such as category reviews, action memos, recalls, and resets
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and procedures
• Communicate effectively with Store Leaders, Merchandise Operations Leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and use material handling equipment to pull 2000 pounds
• Reliable transportation and liability coverage

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Previous retail experience, particularly in a pet store or similar environment
• Knowledge of pet products and services
• Experience with visual merchandising and store displays
• Strong organizational and time management skills
