As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the integration of scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Facility: reputed company Outpatient Imaging Centreville Location: 6208 Multiplex Dr Ste 100, Centreville, VA 20121 Position Type: Full-Time Work Schedule Details: Evenings and weekends with options for 3X12 or 4X10 Responsibilities:

• Complete scans effectively and reputed company:
• Collect pertinent data about the patient and the procedure
• Select the most appropriate, cost-effective action plan after reviewing reputed company pertinent data and assessing the patient’s abilities and condition
• Screen the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magnetic field
• Position and prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures
• Select appropriate immobilization devices
• Review the patient’s chart and the physician’s request to determine optimal scanning parameters for the suspected pathology
• Prepare and administer contrast agents in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Enter necessary patient information to initiate the reputed company(s)
• Assess and monitor the patient’s physical and mental status throughout the procedure
• Review images to determine if additional scans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedure
• Document diagnostic, treatment and patient data in the appropriate record. Documentation must be timely, accurate, concise and complete.
• Archive images to data storage devices according to established guidelines

Qualifications: Education:

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
• ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
• Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
• Active state licensure, where applicable
• CPR Certification is required

Prior Experience:

• 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
• 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred

Special Qualifications:

• IV skills required
• Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
