Testing Coordinator / Technical Writer - Cybersecurity Assessments

We have an opening for a full-time, Testing Coordinator / Technical Writer - Cybersecurity Assessments to join our talented, dynamic team. The Testing Coordinator / Technical Writer - Cybersecurity Assessments will support a dynamic and exciting cybersecurity program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Veterans are encouraged to apply. Duties In this role, a typical day will include:
- reputed company, write, and edit technical documents, including assessment reports, operational procedures, test plans, and rules of engagement.
- Collaborate with Red Team analysts and technical leads to understand and document technical details of cybersecurity assessments.
- Ensure reputed company documentation meets organizational standards and customer requirements.
- Translate reputed company technical information into easily understandable text for a variety of audiences.
- Review and revise documents reputed company by others and coordinate the preparation of those materials for a consistent presentation.
- Maintain version control and document management for reputed company deliverables.
- Ensure reputed company deliverables are submitted on time and in compliance with contract requirements.
- Support the development of training materials and user guides as needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with system owners to collect information, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide input and updates reputed company the Veterans Affairs (VA) ticketing system to support accurate tracking and resolution of requests.
- Coordinate with Red Teams and system owners to schedule tests of reputed company vulnerabilities.
- Gather, analyze, and compile metrics for inclusion in the weekly deliverable.
- Collect and consolidate statistical data for incorporation into the weekly deliverable.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and cybersecurity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a reputed company field - equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT or cybersecurity field
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and terminology
- Working knowledge of program/project management software (reputed company Project, Jira, reputed company 365/Teams applications, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation
- Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., reputed company Office Suite, reputed company Acrobat, document management systems)
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and subject matter experts
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in technical writing and documentation
