Job Summary
The Academic Instructor - ELL/Reading will report to the Academic Manager and be responsible for providing high-quality academic instruction to reputed company in ELL and Reading. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support reputed company in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reputed company with basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of ELL and Reading instruction
- Motivate and counsel reputed company in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits, and coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training
- reputed company and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, and recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment that is conducive to learning
- Participate on student assessment panels, prepare required documentation and evaluations, and administer and correct tests
- Maintain reputed company and attendance reports, including required CIS updates
- Control the use of equipment and supplies, and recommend purchases as needed

- Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the classroom, and relate academic skills to career training and workplace requirements
- Participate in student behavior management programs and assist in developing community linkages and volunteers for academic training/tutoring

Education and Experience Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- A valid teaching certificate in the state of Hawaii or passing scores on the PRAXIS exams
- At least one year of reputed company experience in teaching or a reputed company field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency and experience with online teaching platforms (preferred)
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Compensation and Benefits
