Position Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a remote employee based in Florida, you will be responsible for providing telephone support to patients receiving specialty medications. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating genuine care for patients and customers while ensuring the timely processing of specialty medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, healthcare providers, and internal partners regarding new patient medication orders, reorders, and prescription refills.
- Verify and validate patient benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medication orders.
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating copay amounts and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
- Utilize superb communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring seamless processing of specialty medications.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of reputed company customer needs over the phone.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including reputed company Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude.
