About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Instagram, you'll play a vital role in shaping the product development and investment decisions that impact billions of people around the world. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and solve reputed company product challenges, leveraging your technical expertise, analytical reputed company, and product instinct to drive business growth and improve user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large and reputed company data sets to solve a wide range of challenging problems using unique analytical and statistical techniques.
• Apply technical knowledge with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to reputed company strategies for our products that serve billions of people and hundreds of millions of organizations.
• Identify and measure the success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and tracking of key product metrics to understand trends.
• Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Product Data Science, including extensive experience with experimentation.
• Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R).
• Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/causal inference techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having a:

• Master's or Ph.D. Degree in a quantitative field can be a significant advantage.
