Job Summary

As an Aerospace Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of aerospace and electronic components. You will work directly with suppliers to satisfy quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of these components. This is a remote opportunity that will require travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with reputed company, client, and KBR's KAS group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance, and services.
• Validate that certification/calibration for operators and special processes is reputed company.
• Conduct reputed company inspections, evaluations, and/or surveillance of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Use and care for inspection tools, measuring, and test equipment.
• Conduct sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
• Participate in root-cause-analysis.
• Conduct follow-up audits to review the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
• Collect and use statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
• Provide training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure inclusion of quality requirements.
• Provide activity and status reports to management.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of relevant experience in quality inspection or a reputed company field.
• U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.
• Candidates must successfully complete and pass a Skills Checklist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full understanding of the quality system; understanding of quality processes.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes.
• Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring, and test equipment.
• Trained in the use of TQ tools.
• Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and processes.
• Must pass Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) test.
