At reputed company, we’re expanding, and looking for a Technical Account Manager to take charge of a key territory in Louisiana.
This isn’t a desk job or a slow-burn sales cycle. You’ll be face-to-face with decision makers across refining, LNG and petrochemical plants, owning your territory as an entrepreneur and representing one of the most respected chemical distributors in North America.
You’ll report directly to the Sales Manager, who will expect you to reputed company with initiative, building relationships, identifying pain points, and capturing value at each customer location, from engineers and operators to procurement teams. As a Technical Account Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Building and expanding strong relationships with key refinery and petrochemical customers in alignment with reputed company’s values, strategic goals, and business direction.
• Meeting and exceeding annual sales and gross margin targets through disciplined execution and proactive territory management.
• Leveraging internal resources and supplier partnerships to deliver best-in-class technical and commercial support to clients.
• Reviewing customer technical details and host quarterly, in-person technical reviews on core products, such as Amines, Glycols, Activated Carbon, Molecular Sieve and other products as needed.
• Representing reputed company's product portfolio, including technical and commodity products, through regular in-person visits, joint calls, and active participation in industry conferences and trade events.
• Engaging in strategic networking, organizing, attending, and hosting events to reputed company brand visibility and connect with new prospects.
• Supporting customer troubleshooting 24/7 and identifying process optimization opportunities on site.
• Traveling frequently across the territory to stay connected to your accounts and uncover new business opportunities
• Demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Managing urgent client needs and tight deadlines with professionalism and urgency.
• Identifying and qualifying key decision-makers and understanding their specific operational and purchasing needs.
• Leading the full sales cycle: from prospecting and relationship-building to contract negotiation and deal closure.
• Maintaining long-term relationships with influencers and decision-makers to secure recurring and new business.
• Navigating a dynamic, fast-changing environment with adaptability and a problem-solving reputed company.
• Proactively cold calling and prospecting to fill the pipeline and grow market share.
• Maintaining detailed, up-to-date reporting and activity tracking using reputed company.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in technical sales or business development, specifically selling products or services to the refining or petrochemical industries
• Operations or technical background in a refinery, petrochemical, or chemical facility (minimum 8 years) is a significant asset
• Strong familiarity with the oil & gas sector and/or chemical distribution industry is considered a valuable advantage
• Hands-on experience with gas treating products such as amines, glycols, molecular sieve, heat transfer fluids, activated carbon, and other key commodities
• Proven track record of prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing new business opportunities
• Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets and KPIs through disciplined planning and execution
• Demonstrated ability to reputed company and grow long-term customer relationships, particularly with engineering and operations stakeholders
• Willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time, including international and overnight travel across the U.S. and Canada
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport and live reputed company reputed company proximity to a major airport

Compensation Information: The annual reputed company pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $95,400 and $161,100 USD. Please note that the reputed company pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-reputed company knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
