Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct City-wide dance programs for reputed company ages, creating engaging lesson plans, registering participants, and corresponding with participants and parents.
• Act as a resource person in dance instruction, providing guidance and support to other Recreation Specialists and community groups.
• Represent the Parks and Recreation Department at meetings and conferences reputed company to dance instruction.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of experience in community center or reputed company activities.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background in dance or reputed company field, with a focus on modern, ballet, tap, jazz, or street dance.
• Prior experience teaching dance classes for beginner to advanced reputed company levels, ages 4 to adult.
• One (1) year of choreography experience.
• Recital production experience.
• Bilingual in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Spanish.
• Cash handling experience.

• Knowledge of various dance styles and techniques.
