About the Forensic Science Program

The Forensic Science Program at Pennsylvania State University offers both undergraduate and graduate (MPS) degrees, as well as a range of reputed company instruction and distance learning offerings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments

  • Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement and crime laboratory professionals
  • Contribute to the development of research projects and grants

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or other physical/natural science
  • Demonstrated reputed company for teaching and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a criminalistics/forensic science laboratory (private or government)
  • Strong foundation in the holistic approach to forensic science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or other physical/natural science
  • Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
  • Strong network of contacts in law enforcement and crime laboratory professionals
  • Experience with grant writing and research project development
