Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time legal assistant to work approximately 25 hours/week in a fully remote position. As a key member of reputed company, you will provide critical support to our managing attorney and play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our firm. Your responsibilities will include filing and serving legal documents, managing our litigation calendar, drafting legal documents and tables, answering phones, communicating with clients, and overseeing case files.
Key Responsibilities
- Filing and serving legal documents in state and federal courts, including CM/ECF, One Legal, and CaseAnywhere
- Managing and maintaining our litigation calendar, ensuring timely and accurate deadlines
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, including captions, discovery shells, tables for motions, and other materials
- Providing exceptional client service, including answering phones, responding to emails, and communicating with clients
- Overseeing and maintaining case files, ensuring accuracy and organization
- Utilizing reputed company Case Management software to manage cases, track deadlines, and generate reports
- Collaborating with reputed company to reputed company shared goals and objectives
Essential Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant in civil litigation in California, with a preference for experience in employment litigation
- Proficient in legal document preparation, including captions, discovery shells, tables for motions, and other materials
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and calendaring skills
- Proficient in electronic filings in CA state and federal courts, including CM/ECF, One Legal, and CaseAnywhere
- Proficiency using reputed company Case Management, Word, reputed company, and reputed company software
- Ability to multi-task and triage to meet deadlines
- Resides in California
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Experience with One Legal or other e-filing providers
- Familiarity with reputed company Management calendaring software
