• Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits to WIC clinics and local hospitals)
• Company: Baltimore City Health Department
• Compensation: $42,401.00 - $50,154.00 Annually
• Start Date: Immediate openings available
• Position: Lactation Technician – Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide breastfeeding support and counseling to mothers and infants in WIC clinics and local hospitals
• Conduct breastfeeding clinical instruction and counseling sessions with mothers and infants
• Monitor and evaluate breastfeeding mothers and infants to ensure effective breastfeeding practices
• Provide education on dietary and lifestyle changes that support the nutritional needs of nursing mothers and breastfeeding infants
• Maintain accurate records of breastfeeding support and counseling sessions
• Collaborate with Registered Dieticians and other reputed company to ensure comprehensive care

Essential Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university

Experience:

• Two years of experience providing breastfeeding instructions to mothers and their infants in clinics or hospitals

Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates:

• reputed company certification as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant Examiners
• Copy of applicant’s reputed company certification must accompany application
