Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time Preschool Teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supervising preschool-age children, motivating them to be creative, reputed company a love of learning, and feel emotionally and physically safe. Key Responsibilities

• Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover age-appropriate teaching materials and activities
• Use reflective teaching practices to create a lesson plan that includes the use of CT Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS)
• Provide basic care and caregiving activities
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (play, stories, media, outdoor games, art, music, etc.) to enhance the child's abilities
• Implement classroom management strategies that guide children's behavior in a positive manner
• Establish and maintain daily communication with parents, as well as parent conferences, updates on curriculum, and special classroom events
• Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and special events as needed
• Provide documentation of Professional Development each year of at least twenty hours

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate practices
• The ability to plan and implement age-appropriate educational programming
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be available to work during operating hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm (full-time)
• Complete background checks, physical, and TB test prior to starting
• Be knowledgeable of reputed company licensing regulations and requirements
• Complete Care 4 Kids orientation requirement reputed company 3 months of hire
• Have reliable transportation and be able to report in inclement weather
• Be able to maintain open communication with children, families, and co-workers

Preferred qualifications include:

• CDA or Associate's Degree in ECE
