Job Summary

We're looking for a self-motivated and results-driven sales leader who can rapidly increase sales and build strong relationships with customers. As an Eastern Region Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for managing sales across reputed company classes of trade, including retailers, distributors, and brokers. If you have a strong network of relationships in the industry and can connect with customers through positive and respectful interactions, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

As an Eastern Region Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting, promoting, and selling products/services to existing and prospective customers using solid arguments and a deep understanding of our products and the market.
  • Collaborating with the VP of Sales to reputed company sales strategies across various channels, including grocery, natural/specialty, big reputed company, food service, and distributors.
  • Helping design and implement a strategic business plan that drives increased growth for existing customers while also acquiring new channels and customers.
  • Working reputed company an allocated trade budget, sales forecasting, overseeing initiatives with regional/local distributor and broker teams, executing promotional calendars, and overseeing merchandising.
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Analyzing the territory/market's potential, tracking sales and status reports, and identifying emerging opportunities and market shifts.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the specialty/natural foods industry, preferably with good-for-you bakery products.
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative in the supermarket and natural/specialty channels in the Eastern half of the US.
  • Prior experience working with brokers and distributors, as well as experience selling to the food service channel (preferred).
  • Frequent traveling for food shows and store visits (approximately 25% of the time).
  • Familiarity with reputed company Suites and CRM software.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Motivation, team orientation, and flexibility to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
