Job Summary

The Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy - Technology and Advocacy will serve as a key advisor to Walmart's leadership on public policy issues reputed company to technology and advocacy. This role requires a deep understanding of policymaking processes at the state, local, federal, and global levels, as well as experience in government affairs and reputed company advocacy fields. Key Responsibilities

• Identify Walmart's public policy priorities in technology policy, including e-commerce and online marketplace issues, data privacy and reputed company, biometrics, and reputed company technology, and reputed company strategic plans to address these priorities.
• Inform, advise, and recommend courses of action to internal business partners reputed company to Walmart's public policy priorities.
• Monitor and analyze legislation, high-level administrative or regulatory activity, or other government-led initiatives at reputed company levels that could impact Walmart, its associates, or customers.
• Build and manage relationships with external trade and industry associations, NGOs, public policy experts, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in government/political science, economics, international affairs, business, or a reputed company field.
• 8+ years of applied public policy experience and demonstrated success in government affairs and/or reputed company advocacy fields; corporate experience in this reputed company is a plus.
• Deep understanding of policymaking processes at the state/local, federal, and/or global level, and how to reputed company private sector influence in those processes.
• Experience in working in matrixed environments with the ability to navigate reputed company organizations and spark collaboration across teams and departments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to directly counsel senior leaders on policy issues and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in government relations, lobbying, and media relations.
• Familiarity with competition policy and intellectual property protections.
• Working knowledge of the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in various business applications, and the public policy implications of these applications.
