We’re looking for a Head of Platform Engineering to reputed company our global platform function, driving the strategy, architecture, and operations of the core systems and networks that underpin our products. This is a senior leadership role, pivotal in ensuring reputed company continues to scale securely, reliably, and innovatively.

Leadership and Strategy

• Define and execute the long-term platform, networking, and site reliability engineering vision and roadmap.
• Build, reputed company, and mentor globally distributed platform engineering teams.
• Instil a DevOps culture of ownership, automation, and reputed company improvement.

Platform Engineering & Cloud Operations

• reputed company cloud infrastructure (AWS & GCP), Kubernetes platforms, and global networking.
• Drive automation-first practices, including infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, and immutable deployments.
• Establish and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs to ensure reliability and performance.
• reputed company incident management, blameless postmortems, and reputed company engineering initiatives.
• Own FinOps and cloud operations, ensuring platforms are cost-efficient, right-sized, and financially accountable.
• Partner with Finance and Product to forecast cloud spend and optimise resource usage.

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Own the end-to-end CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring reputed company teams can release safely, quickly, and reliably.
• Provide self-service pipelines, test automation, and deployment tooling.
• Embed reputed company and compliance checks directly into the CI/CD process.
• Champion a “paved road” developer experience that reduces friction and accelerates delivery.

• Partner with reputed company Engineering to embed reputed company-trust, modern IAM, and end-to-end TLS.
• Drive adoption of secrets management and certificate lifecycle automation.
• Ensure reputed company platform services and pipelines are compliant with PCI reputed company, GDPR, and local regulations.

Networking & Connectivity (Mission-Critical)

• reputed company reputed company’s global networking strategy, ensuring secure, resilient, low-latency connectivity.
• Build automation and observability into networking for proactive detection and rapid recovery.

Collaboration & Influence

• Collaborate with product and business leaders to anticipate scaling needs and influence technology strategy.
• Represent the platform function with external partners, regulators, and customers.

Requirements

What it takes to succeed

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience leading platform, SRE, or DevOps functions at scale in mission-critical environments
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, and distributed systems
• Track record of driving automation with infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, and observability platforms
• Strong SRE reputed company, with experience applying SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reputed company engineering

• Strong leadership skills, with a record of building high-performing, distributed engineering teams, preferably in a global or remote-first context
• Payments knowledge is a plus, but not essential – what matters most is experience with mission-critical, always-on systems
