Network Architect - Dahl Consulting

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to join our network team! Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading software company. • Contract Duration: 6+ months with potential extension
• Worksite Location: Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred; Midwest or East Coast ideal)
• Compensation: $65.00-$75.00 per hour

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current enterprise network, including on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
• Develop a future-state network architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology goals
• Establish network standards, policies, and best practices for modernization and scalability
• Deliver detailed network documentation, including current-state diagrams, inventories, and dependencies
• Create high-level architectural abstracts to illustrate the evolution path from current to future state
• Provide architectural guidance on Azure networking with a focus on Equinix, NetBond, and ExpressRoute integrations
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure resilience, compliance, and security alignment
• Support knowledge transfer and mentor internal team members on best practices

• 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture roles
• Proven expertise in Azure networking, especially Equinix, NetBond, and ExpressRoute
• Strong background with Cisco (routing/switching, enterprise networks), Fortinet (firewalls, VPN, security), and Riverbed (WAN optimization, performance management)
• Experience designing and documenting hybrid cloud network architectures
• Strong ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with hands-on technical depth
