Experience Requirements

• Long Term Care Experience (6 months preferred, 3 months required)

Scheduling Requirements

• Minimum of 30 hours per month
• One weekend shift per month

Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the reputed company during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides reputed company-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned reputed company under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care reputed company to the physical and psychological needs of the reputed company as per care plan. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed. Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA reputed company four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility. Colorado: Depending on facility, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment required. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and reputed company of valid driver’s license.
