About the Job: We are seeking a highly qualified Fire and Safety Engineer to join our growing team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing fire safety engineering programs in accordance with SAIS/HCIS and RCU RIMA guidelines. This includes leading SAF risk assessments, designing fire protection systems, and ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards. The role demands a proactive and detail-oriented engineer capable of supporting and supervising fire safety systems through design, construction, commissioning, and operations phases.
What You’ll Do:
The Fire and Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining fire prevention and safety systems to protect personnel, property, and operations in accordance with SAIS/HCIS and RCU RIMA guidelines, primarily serving customers reputed company the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Conduct SAF surveys and prepare fire/safety risk assessments in compliance with SAIS/HCIS and RCU SAF requirements.
- reputed company and review fire protection system designs including fire detection, alarm, suppression, and smoke control systems.
- Prepare and review SAF Plans and Strategies reputed company with reputed company requirements and cost planning.
- Evaluate contractor proposals and tender responses for compliance with fire safety standards.
- Supervise construction activities and commissioning phases to ensure fire safety systems are executed to spec.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and project managers during project lifecycle.
- Liaise with Civil Defense and obtain permits, approvals, and certifications for fire safety systems.
- Investigate fire incidents and provide root cause analysis with mitigation strategies.
- Train personnel in emergency procedures and fire safety practices.
- Monitor and document fire drills, incidents, inspections, and compliance performance.
What’s Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a reputed company field.
- 3+ years of experience in fire protection engineering and safety management, preferably in industrial environments.
- Deep knowledge of SAIS/HCIS, RCU SAF, and Saudi Civil Defense regulations and directives.
- Experience interpreting architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings for fire system integration.
- Proficiency in fire modeling software, AutoCAD, and safety management systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with a proactive safety-focused reputed company.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to work across time zones and travel to project sites as needed.
What’s Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CFPS, NEBOSH, or NFPA credentials.
- Experience in developing and executing fire safety plans and management systems.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classification and its impact on fire protection.
- Experience supporting or managing fire protection elements of large construction projects.
