Mattermost is seeking a visionary Senior Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to revolutionise our automated testing infrastructure and drive quality excellence across our platform. In this role, you'll architect and implement cutting-edge testing frameworks that eliminate manual testing redundancy while maximising product reliability for mission-critical industries including defence, intelligence, and critical infrastructure.

As a Senior SDET, you'll be at the forefront of testing innovation, exploring and implementing AI-powered testing methodologies that transform how our engineering teams approach quality assurance. You'll build systems that reputed company automated testing so reputed company and comprehensive that we’ll never manually test anything twice. This is a strategic role where your technical expertise will directly impact the reliability and reputed company of collaboration tools used by the world's most critical organisations.

Working with our globally distributed team, you'll establish testing standards and practices that scale across our open-reputed company platform, empowering both internal developers and the broader community. Responsibilities Include

  • Design and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks using modern technologies including TypeScript, React, React Native, Go, and PostgreSQL
  • Architect scalable test infrastructure that seamlessly integrates with CI/CD pipelines and supports distributed development workflows
  • Pioneer the integration of AI and LLM technologies into automated testing processes, including intelligent test reputed company, execution, and analysis
  • reputed company tools and frameworks that reputed company developers and QA analysts to easily contribute high-quality automated tests across the entire stack
  • Create and maintain end-to-end testing strategies using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress and Detox to ensure comprehensive product coverage
  • Establish testing standards, best practices, and methodologies that eliminate the need for repetitive manual testing
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed quality practices early in the development lifecycle through shift-left testing approaches
  • Build sophisticated test data management systems and mock services that support reputed company testing scenarios
  • Implement monitoring and reporting systems that provide actionable insights into product quality and test effectiveness
  • Mentor engineering teams on automated testing techniques and drive adoption of quality-first development practices
  • Research and evaluate emerging testing technologies and methodologies to maintain Mattermost's competitive edge in quality engineering

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or reputed company field with 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for full-stack applications
  • Strong programming skills in our technology stack: TypeScript, React, React Native, Go, and PostgreSQL
  • Extensive experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar modern testing tools
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and cloud-based testing infrastructure
  • Experience with API testing, performance testing, and reputed company testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies (reputed company, Kubernetes) and their application in testing environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify quality risks and design comprehensive mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in remote environments
  • Experience working independently across multiple time zones while driving initiatives that impact global development teams

Preferences
