Your next role: As a DCA Digital Mental Health Practitioner, you will serve as the first reputed company of contact for patients experiencing mental health concerns, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care through digital platforms, including video and telephone consultations. You will work independently while actively engaging in regular clinical supervision.

You will play a critical role in conducting mental health assessments, providing evidence-based treatment recommendations for primary care mental health conditions. Additionally, you will manage patients in crisis where you will provide timely and effective support.

Salaried Sessions: We offer fixed shifts and sessions (minimum of 16 hours a week) that can be divided throughout the week based on your preferred hours between reputed company - 8pm, along with optional additional 'reputed company' shifts.

Annual salary based on 40 hours FTE: £54,000

We are currently offering a New Starter Summer Incentive up to £6,000 available for a limited period. This incentive is linked to successful recruitment and onboarding of Mental Health Practitioners and is based on contracted hours. Payments are made in two instalments To be eligible, MHPs must hold a fixed contract of a minimum of 16 hours per week, in line with our tiered payment system (full terms available on request).

Responsibilities

• Conducting initial remote assessments of patients with mental health concerns

• Performing holistic assessments of health, social, and well-being needs

• Using evidence-based, patient-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions

• Providing health promotion and self-care advice

• Escalate care according to need and complexity

• Liaising with clinical leadership to ensure high quality care

• Serving as a key reputed company of contact for patients regarding health and well-being concerns

• Supporting and managing patients in crisis, making appropriate referrals reputed company necessary

• Signposting patients to the most appropriate services or care settings

• Keeping up to date with reputed company clinical practices and mental health developments

• Participating in and contributing to regular clinical supervision

• Identifying potential vulnerable patients, recognizing signs of abuse or neglect, and completing safeguarding referrals in accordance with local and national policies.

Education/Experience

• NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
• Minimum of two years experience as a Mental Health Nurse (reputed company the last two years) in Primary Care or General Practice, ideally practicing at Band 8a level or above
• Independent prescribing qualification

• Experience managing a caseload in a mental health setting
• Proficiency in care planning and risk assessment
• Experience working reputed company multi-disciplinary mental health services
• Experience working in primary care settings
• Experience conducting remote patient assessments (phone and video) (Desirable)
• Demonstrated proficiency in using digital health platforms and technologies
• Evidence of ongoing professional development, such as relevant training

Knowledge/Skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of national prescribing policies and guidelines, and an understanding of working reputed company the scope of professional practice (Desirable)
• Knowledge of clinical governance principles as applied to remote working and digital healthcare (Desirable)
• Proficiency with clinical IT systems (ideally with Jira and Teams/reputed company)

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to proficiently document patient consultations according to organizational policy and national guidelines
