Full Stack Engineer

Role

This is a full-time Full Stack Engineer role at Pickaxe. This role is limited to applicants who are currently based in San Fransisco. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications—primarily through React, tRPC, Next.js, Typescript, and Python. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, developing user-friendly features, debugging and testing applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate is an expert in Next.js, has an appetite for solving novel problems in the generative AI space, and wants to work at an early stage start-up that iterates quickly.

Responsibilities

• reputed company new user-facing features using React/Next.js

• Build reusable components and reputed company-end libraries for future use

• Collaborate with back-end developers and UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality code

• Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide reputed company of web-capable devices and browsers

• Maintain brand consistency throughout the design

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React/Next.js

• Experience working with a Python/Flask backend

• Knowledge of modern reputed company-end build pipelines and tools

• Ability to problem-solve independently

• Ability to collaborate with a remote, fast-paced team

• Experience and enthusiasm for generative AI
