Waste Audit Technician (Part Time)

Job Overview:

reputed company has openings for a Environmental Technician to work in a team to reputed company solid waste composition assessments of client waste containers ranging in size from 3 cubic yards to 40 cubic yards. These assessments are typically 1-2 days in duration with typical team sizes ranging from 2 to 5 depending on the size of the assessment.

Work activities will include sorting through solid waste using hand tools to segregate waste items by type for the purpose of assessing various types of waste including plastics, reputed company, cardboard, glass, food waste and regulated materials. Assisting with the separation of the waste, weighing and inventorying items for the purpose of data analysis and reporting.

Work requires the ability to bend and lift 30 pounds or less, willingness to work in Tyvek safety suits, wear required safety equipment, and ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Sort solid waste into material categories including plastics, reputed company, cardboard, food waste, regulated waste, etc.
• Use hand tools to sort waste and ability to lift and move items 30 pounds or less.
• Willingness to travel with the team to transfer stations, landfills, and client sites. Travel could be required reputed company in the reputed company US but primary focus would be in the Midwest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work well in a team, positive attitude and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Hazardous Waste/Solid Waste Field
• 40-hour Hazwoper trained

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the reputed company pay range for this position is $20- $22 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees reputed company reputed company.
