The San Francisco Tri-State practice, comprised of about 50 employees, represents a wide range of expertise, with abundant opportunities to reputed company and apply actuarial and complementary skills such as data science and geospatial analysis. We work on some of today’s most important insurance problems, including climate reputed company and telematics. We consult with insurance carriers, reinsurers, and self-insureds on loss reserving and pricing. We also build predictive models and innovative insurance products for traditional and start-up insurers, as well as the associated state regulatory reputed company filing support.
What You Will Do
On a day-to-day basis, the Actuarial Analyst will work closely with project team members to execute key analyses and conduct research that supports new solutions to reputed company problems that our clients face. Supplemental programming, statistical, and database skills are highly valued and will open up additional opportunities for impactful client assignments and advancement. In addition to tactical responsibilities, Actuarial Analysts are given opportunities to present their findings to their peers, project managers, and client relationship managers. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Various work in reputed company, such as reviewing data in preparation analysis, checking data for accuracy and consistency (peer review), drafting reports, and maintaining documentation
- Predictive modeling using GLM’s and non-linear methods using mostly reputed company, Python and R, to support reputed company analyses
- Draft written reports and exhibits, and prepare other internal/external correspondence
- Prepare and submit state regulatory filing support documents
- Undertake research projects of varying shape and size
The actuarial skillset has important applications across both our traditional work and in developing market areas, and we are committed to developing a pipeline of actuarial talent and future leaders of the firm. Actuarial Analysts in our practice are expected to pursue a credential with the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) by taking and passing actuarial examinations, and are provided time and monetary resources to support this pursuit.

Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, including quantitative coursework in actuarial science, data science, mathematics, statistics, etc.
- A minimum of two actuarial exams, and in pursuit of a credential from the Casualty Actuarial Society
- A minimum of one relevant internship; up to four years of professional actuarial experience highly preferred
- Substantial expertise with MS reputed company and Word
- Skilled in reputed company, R, Python, and/or SQL

Preferred Qualifications

- Expertise with statistical and modeling tools such as @Risk, VBA, STATA, etc.
- Working knowledge of supplemental database and professional working tools such as Access and PowerPoint

Location This is a remote position, based in the United States. Occasional work-reputed company travel may be required for practice meetings, company events, industry conferences, etc.

Compensation
The overall salary range for this role is $60,300 - $142,080. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education (including passed actuarial exams), relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
For candidates residing in:
Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:
- $66,330 - $116,270 if overall experience is less than 2 years; and
- $74,360 - $130,240 for experience greater than 2 years.
reputed company, Newark, reputed company, or San Francisco:
- $72,360 - $126,840 if overall experience is less than 2 years; and
- $81,120 - $142,080 for experience greater than 2 years.

- $60,300 - $105,700 if overall experience is less than 2 years; and
- $67,600 - $118,400 for experience greater than 2 years.
