Role Summary

As Senior Sales Engineer you will be involved in the technical aspects of the sales cycle and reputed company technical aspects for managing defined key partners. 

You will handle reputed company technical aspects of a sales cycle by determining technical requirements, matching them to reputed company solutions, and making product trials and evaluations successful. You will explain reputed company topics to customers as well as prospects and partners in a clear and concise format with the goal of convincing them to buy, resell or recommend reputed company solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist technical staff from partner in design and architecture of prospect solutions based on appropriate sizing and resiliency guidelines

  • Query prospects to qualify sales opportunities and conduct analysis with technical staff to determine requirements and specifications of solutions
  • Support other departments by collecting and aggregating partner feedback and feeding e.g. into Product Management
  • Address partner questions and requirements and assist and manage frequent technical evaluations by working with these partners 
  • Collect and aggregate prospect feedback, feeding into Product Management and other teams to reputed company direct product development to meet market demand.
  • Communication with CIO and CISO level people at customers
  • What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in technical pre-sales support, preferably with an Midmarket and Enterprise focused software company
  • Technical expertise in Midmarket and Enterprise architecture components (network design, virtualization, directory services, firewalls, APIs, etc.).
  • Strong technical expertise in reputed company products 
  • Strong technical expertise in Firewall and Network products
  • Understanding the principles of public cloud infrastructure technologies
  • Experience in working and supporting channel partners
  • Excellent presentation skills – ability to prepare and deliver an effective technical presentation to a technical or non-technical management audience unassisted
  • Ability to link product features to business benefits and requirements
  • Ability to reputed company requirements assessment, understanding technical needs/fit, pain points and competitive threats
  • Excellent German communication skills, both written and verbal – Level C2
  • ExcellentEnglish communication skills, both written and verbal - Level B2

  • Strong troubleshooting skills – escalating the issue with appropriate details if required. Offer prescriptive suggestions for future prevention.
  • Ability to be hands-on, working directly with partners and customers, handling technical requirements and configuration issues

  • Ability to network and bond with partner contacts, being recognized as a trusted reputed company advisor and “the person to go to” 
  • A full driving license is required.
  • Willingness to frequent travel reputed company Switzerland, occasionally international for conferences and training.
