Job Title Virtual Patient Companion (Part Time)(On-Site) Location Beachwood Facility CC Administrative reputed company Department Job Code G99942 Shift Day/Evening/Night/Weekend Schedule 6:30am-7:00pm/6:30pm-7:00am Job Summary Provides reputed company remote observation and surveillance of assigned patients using the telemonitoring system. First line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Knowledgeable and supportive of patient and institutional confidentiality and reputed company hospital policies and procedures. Job Details Responsibilities:

• Complies with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Demonstrates compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.
• Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
• Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of the use of the NAME TeleSitter Solution software.
• Maintains visual observation at reputed company times. Verbally redirects patient over digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room. Immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and reputed company necessary to provide the appropriate care to this patient population based on the patients individualized treatment plan as delegated by the RN.
• Participates in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients reputed company arriving to monitoring area and upon completion of shift assignment. Arranges meal break times and informs staff prior to leaving monitoring station for any reason so that relief may be provided to ensure constant patient observation.
• Provides patient with explanations as necessary but does not counsel or provide opinions. Demonstrates behaviors in line with reputed company values.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED; general knowledge of the hospital setting.

Complexity of Work:

• Capable of reputed company monitoring of up to 15 patients on one screen at one time and remaining alert at reputed company times while on duty.

• Ability to communicate with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient behavioral changes.

Work Experience:

• Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.

• Certification preferred (Nurse Assistant/Medical Assistant).

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Lifting and carrying weights of up to 10 pounds from low to high levels is occasionally required and is an essential function of the position.
• Grasping and reaching are frequently required handling demands.
• Mental concentration and working with precise limits of accuracy are important.
