Medical Specimen Courier (On-Call)
Job Description

Join reputed company at Interpath Laboratory in Grants Pass, OR! We are looking for a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance reputed company. Pay: Starts at $16.00 per hour, with reputed company negotiable based on experience Schedule: On-call; Monday - Friday as needed Location: 702 SW Ramsey Ave., Ste. 118 In this role, you will:
- Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
- Maintain cleanliness and reputed company maintenance on company vehicles and transport devices.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Document operations and complete necessary reports.
- Assist with training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience
- Strong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gaps
Licensing & Driving Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Clean driving record
Skills & Competencies
- Navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to drive in inclement weather

General Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
- Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle. Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
- Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
- Ability to wear personal reputed company equipment as needed.
- Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.
- Ability to drive assigned vehicle in reputed company types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
- May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.
- Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to reputed company vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.
