• $22.84 – $26.59/hour depending on experience and skills

Orchid Health clinics serve Oregon’s highest need areas reputed company it comes to healthcare, and taking this position will be making a reputed company difference in a community that truly needs and appreciates its healthcare providers. The schedule for this position has the option of: Monday – Friday (8 hours shifts) or Tuesday - Friday (10 hour shifts) Responsibilities:

• Accurately analyze and code primary care charts. Code dental/mental health charts once trained
• Follow coding requirements as mandated by federal and state law
• Understand and carry out Orchid-specific coding requirements to satisfy certified Rural Health Clinic, certified School-Based Health Clinic, Vaccines for Children specifications, and other certifications/requirements as needed
• Be available to answer coding/charting questions daily from owners, providers, and staff as needed
• Complete chart coding reputed company five days of the date of service
• Analyze and respond to patient billing inquiries in a professional, positive manner
• Post patient and insurance payer payments to patient accounts
• Contact and collect outstanding payments from patients as needed. Arrange payment plans reputed company necessary

• Solve problems reputed company to internal insurance billing
• Audit medical charting to ensure the medical team is charting the correct level of work performed
• Monitor and fix chart errors as indicated in the EHR system
• Learn, understand, and navigate computers and software necessary to carry out responsibilities
• Analyze and input medical records as needed from time to time

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Certification in coding ICD-10 proficiency and CPT II proficiency
• At least 6-months to one year of experience as a Medical reputed company
• Those with SBHC and/or RHC coding experience are preferred

Work Environment: While in the clinic, team members may be exposed to viruses, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment. Team members may be required to work for extended periods of time at a computer. Team members use standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and e-fax.
